ACADEMY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Cricket Lab Academy (TCLA) staff and coaches reserve the right to restrict clients to a particular activity at their sole discretion. TCLA coaches are subject to change without notice.
TCLA reserves the right to change or cancel any sessions if necessary.

In the unlikely event that TCLA cancels a program due to insufficient numbers, customers will receive a 48 hours’ notice, and we will offer a refund or credit towards another program may be provided.

Customers will be required to pay in advance before any TCLA training sessions, lane bookings, or programs. Structured Programs and Individual Coaching For cancellations more than seven days before the commencement of a program, a full refund, less a $25 administration fee, will be given. There is no refund for cancellations less than seven days before the commencement that occurs after a program has commenced.

Production of medical certificates within seven days from the commencement of a program or academy will warrant credit for future sessions or private coaching sessions of the same value.

Cancellations must be in writing and sent via email to thecricketlabtbs@gmail.com. With the outcome determined at the sole discretion of TCLA.
TCLA requires at least 48 hours notice should you need to cancel an Individual coaching session. The session fee will cover the missed or cancelled session.
If your child has a medical condition, It is advisable to seek a registered medical practitioner’s advice before booking.
If your child has a medical condition and cannot obtain clearance from a registered medical practitioner, he/she cannot participate in our programs.

In an accident or illness event, the parent/guardian authorizes any medical assistance/hospital treatment that your child may require.
You accept full responsibility for all expenses incurred.
By enrolling your child/children, you declare that your child/children are fit to participate in all activities and consent to release TCLA, the Directors & all staff from any claim or liability arising directly or indirectly from the programmed activities.

You also indemnify TCLA against responsibility for any accident, loss, injury, illness, or death suffered by your child/children during the course of these activities. Safety Rules and Regulations Sports, fitness training, and any physical activity come with their risks.

As qualified coaches and staff try to minimize this risk, parents, guardians, users, and participants acknowledge that they are responsible for their actions and safety.

You understand that your’s and your children’s behaviours will be exemplary at all times for the safe conduct of the event and the safety and well-being of other participants, our staff, and coaches. If the supervisor/coach considers your child is jeopardizing others’ safety and disrupting the event, he/she may have to stop participating until further notice.

The Cricket Lab staff will contact parents/guardians to provide a full incident report.

It is the responsibility of individual users, parents, and guardians of children using our facilities to use the facility and equipment with the utmost care and be required to make good of any damages caused by their actions.

Participants will be responsible for their belongings. We advise children not to bring any valuables (iPhones, iPads, toys, and other valuable items.)

The Cricket Lab is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property, nor can it compensate for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

We will endeavour to return any lost property belonging to users if found on our premises.

The customers’ responsibility is the postage and handling costs incurred by The Cricket Lab to return lost property.

TCLA may provide store credit for any sessions, programs that got cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances (example, COVID-19 lockdowns)

TCLA may take photos for advertising purposes and media publications relating solely to TCLA.

The academy will not provide Pictures/images to third parties; only first names will be attached to any child photo. Unless specified otherwise upon registration, The Cricket Lab reserves the right to use its content for advertising purposes.

The parents, guardians, and users’ responsibility is to arrive on time for lane bookings, sessions, and programs.

If you are late for your scheduled sessions, we will not be able to move subsequent sessions, so you may miss out on the entire session or portion. Unfortunately, TCLA will not be responsible for it.

A parent or guardian must accompany minor children when they use the facility and be available at all times to support their children.

TCLA will endeavour to provide a nut-free environment; however, we cannot 100% guarantee that.

Users must bring any medical treatment required in an emergency if they suffer from nuts or allergies.

Zero tolerance towards Anti-social behaviourAt The Cricket Lab Academy, we have zero tolerance for any anti-social behaviour.

We work very hard to ensure our staff, players, patrons, customers, kids, and anyone using our facility enjoys a safe and secure environment.

We expect the same from anyone (parents/players/guardians/customers/patrons/staff) using our facility. If we find anyone violating our reasonable expectations, we request they leave the premises and report the incident to law enforcement authorities as required.

Child Safety Standards and Compliance to Nigerian 11 Child Safe Standards (from 1 July 2022.).
All children have the right to feel safe and safe all the time, but safety does not just happen.

At TCLA, we take our responsibilities to provide a child-safe environment very seriously.

We have taken deliberate steps to protect children from physical, sexual, emotional and psychological abuse and neglect.

This commitment to protecting children is embedded in our organisation’s culture and policies.

All our staff has undergone stringent background checks and has a valid working with children certificate and National police clearance certificate.

We regularly assess the level of contact and responsibility the role will have regarding children.

We have assessed the qualifications and prerequisites required to ensure the staff are appropriately skilled.
TCLA regularly assess the training, guidance and supervision required for the position and the current resources available to meet these requirements and ensures ongoing improvements are made.

ANNUAL CHILD SAFE & MEMBER PROTECTION DECLARATION On 01/09/2022, the Committee of The Cricket Lab Academy:
• the Cricket Lab 2024 Member Protection Policy (MPP); and • Nigerian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People and the Looking after our Kids Code of Conduct.
we hereby declare that our organisation will meet the expectations outlined in the above policies.
